AGM 11.09.07

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: 11 SEPTEMBER 2007


In attendance: Sue King (chairman), John Webb, (secretary), Laurie Baker (treasurer), Viv Stevens, Marion Kennett and John Kennett (committee members) and Members of the Friends.

1. Apologies: Sue Bosanko, Jason Green, Diane Broughton

2. The Chairman reported on the activities of the past year. It was proposed to hold the next AGM in the spring of 2009 in order to be consistent with the end of the financial year.

3. Financial report. The Treasurer reported that the financial situation was good, the group having received funds from the BBC Breathing Places scheme and from the Co-op Dividend Fund; the current balance at the bank stood at £10,597.43 with creditors of £958.80 (for calendars)

4. Election of officers:

The current officers all indicated their willingness to continue. No other nominations were received.

John and Marion Kennett, Phyllis Duignan, Paul Higgs, Jane Webb, Viv Stevens and Diane Broughton agreed to serve on the committee for the following period. It was also agreed to co-opt Jason Green onto the Committee.

Outgoing members of the Committee were thanked for their contribution.

5. Date of next committee meeting: Monday, October 29 at 7.30pm.


The AGM was preceded by a highly entertaining and informative illustrated talk by Marion and John on ‘E Nesbit, the Railway Children and Well Hall’ which was attended by 45 people.
