Mushroom weighs in at 5ozs
27th September 2007
The mushroom season, spurred on by heavy rain and gloomy skies over the summer, has started in some style in the Pleasaunce. A pair of giant horse mushrooms, each weighing 5ozs and measuring about 6 inches across their caps, emerged in the shrubbery around the Tudor Barn green.

A look around the mulberry bushes

There are two mulberry trees in the Pleasaunce; one black and one white. Only the black, in the woodland area behind the Tudor Barn, is bearing berries this year. They can be told apart by the shape of their leaves.

There are now pictures of 40 species in this website's TREE SECTION. Also, you can print off a TREE TRAIL
AND MAP for your next visit to the Pleasaunce.
